Assistant Editor

For this role, I was assigned a variety of responsibilities to assist the team in their edit process.

This involved providing production support, creating and resourcing assets, and crafting original motion and VFX elements. Handling all these tasks required excellent organisation, time management and multi-tasking, whilst ensuring communication with the team and my director was maintained. The versatile nature of the job’s requirements meant I developed skills to adapt to any given situation or challenge, while delivering the same quality and enthusiasm for each project.

This experience has enhanced my knowledge of file formats, transcoding and conforming footage, handling workflows, creating and exporting deliverables, and collaborating with a larger edit team to assist with their workflows. We used Premiere and After Effects; however, my skill set extends to a wider range of software, including Avid Media Composer and DaVinci Resolve. Furthermore, I am now experienced in working on collaborative projects through a NAS system.
